Window Company try's to blame the W/C
« on: June 11, 2008, 07:59:55 pm »
Got to a very good customers house this afternoon and spoke to the lady of the house, when the husband popped his head out the door so say hello , he walked over to me and asked me not to damage any more of his window seals :o

He began to laugh and showed me one of the seals of his 3 month old windows, it looked like it had been cut with a scraper? He said when he noticed it, he called out the window company who came out to inspect it, the first thing the guy said to my custy was 'O' your window cleaner did that :o

The custy whispered in my ear what he told the the window Guy and it wasn't very polite, he added he that had the same w/c for 11 years with no problems and he can't see how a plastic brush could cut the rubber, also why is it only this spot and no where else on any other windows?

The guy's face went red and told my custy he would have it replaced within the next couple of weeks.

Thank god this custy is well switched on otherwise I would be looking at a claim on my insurance.
What's up with these window companies trying to pass the blame onto someone else.

They were just trying it on.

Good as gold when they are selling but dont like to pay out if something goes wrong.

Nice to hear a possitive story about a custi..

If this custy was an OAP or something like that, then they would tend to believe the window company claim off the W/C insurance and then possibly bin him.
