i have just seen ....

a new window cleaner in my road ,
with wrong ladders and no a frame  , did have b on a belt , etc

i watched him very unconvincingly climb the ladder , he eventually stopped 2 or 3 rungs short of reaching the fanlights , i then see that he 's holding and proceeds to use a ' vileda ' type of mop to reach up and clean the fanlights and top of the windows !

i have never seen anything like this before !
he was there for a while , and somehow he appears to have done a reasonable job , inc frames
i am trad so no wfp vs trad !

There are lots of different ways to clean a window, a person in my area uses a rag on a stick, the results are always quite good though, because they spend quite alot of time doing it, Luke
Ffenest ( est 2007 ) is a fully insured premium quality window cleaning service based at Llandderfel near Bala. All our work is guaranteed, rain or shine, year round.

I've seen a window cleaner wash, squeegy; then scrim the whole window (it was a large shop window).  I was chatting with him while he did it.

I really had to hold back from saying, 'You don't want to do it like that...", but this guy has been cleaning windows since before I was born, so I bit my lip.

You see some WC`s working and can see they have no idea, just because they`ve been doing it for years does not mean there doing it the quickest and correct way. Some have worked on there own for years and know no different.
