Been swerving the sealer lark but a neighbour wants shiney block,i have cleaned his 50 sq metre drive a few weeks ago and want to know the safest product t use,i know block has to be well clean and brushed,i know it has to be totally dry for a good few days to do the job but i want a good basic product and a good basic method of application, also the cost to purchase the sealer, thanks Dan.

the problem with glossy sealers is they lose their sheen, even the best lose their sheen and are not really worth there money and the cheap ones areusually acrylic and peel off or go milky, basically i think they are not good.  i would be very carefull dan , why not just keybond the joints to be safe at least there will be no shiny patches?  as if you do not seal properly or put too much on in one spot it shows or goes a different colour and you try to shift it!! doh!

good luck.

I think we have our timing wrong here drive surgeon or we are reading each others minds,ha ha.Keybond is £33 a 5 litre bottle so how do you work it into the price and do you use it on every sanding job?

well a good sealer is dearer than the keybond for 5 litres, but which do you think would be easiest and least comebacks from?   you give the customer a price for cleaning and re sanding and a price for cleaning, re sanding and bonding the sand. its there choice.
