Opposite direction

I know this may seem like a daft question but here goes....I,m cleaining the carpets at an unusual house soon, the entrance and hallway are upstairs, with the lounge diner downstairs. Now I planned to leave the machine near the doorway so basically I,m going to be vaccing uphill and spraying down which obviously is the opposite to the norm...so does it make much difference especially with the vaccing  ??? cheers klinger

If you do plan on leaving the machine at the doorway then you may well notice that you will have a loss of vac power as you will have to pull all the water UPWARDS.  Personally if i were you i would take the machine downstairs.  Not a problem with higher powered portys or TMs but i would be cautious with just a twin vac machine.

A twin vac, should operate adequately at 75 feet and one  floor up, at two up you will lose power, but I used Ninjas and CFRs with no problem many , mant times as above.

I was never happy with my Steempro over 50ft.

Used to take it up stairs over 50 :'(

Be very careful when finishing, I have done cellars before. If the machine is above the end of the hose, carry your wand upstairs before switching of, orherwise yout hose may contain water which will come out if you switch off the vac with the hose as the lower level!!
Doing the best job in the world as well as I can
