Retirement Apartment 1 off clean!!!
« on: May 13, 2008, 09:41:51 pm »
Hi all, have been asked by the solicitors that I clean for on a weekly basis to price up a 1 off clean at a retirment flat which they are dealing with as the lady has gone into a home & the property is waiting to go onto the market.  The lady got taken into a home over christmas & nothing has been touched since (ie) food still in the kitchen cupboards,  plates left in the sink & some sanitary wear & pants left on the bathroom floor, clothes all over the bedroom.  To be fair though it's not actually that bad, it suprisingly dosn't smell, the cooker looks like it was hardly used & with the building not being that old it dosnt look or feel dirty.  I have been asked to do a general tidy up,clean kitchen cupboards inside & out & dispose of all food that was left in the cupboards, clean cooker & hob, inside of the windows box all crockery/cutlery/pans/glasses that are in display cabinets etc, clean bathroom & dispose of all products left in the vanity unit & vac & dust all surfaces.  My hubby & I are going to do it as he has a van for the rubbish, im guessing around 5-6 hrs as it is not that dirty, it is only a 1 bed, small kitchen, bathroom & living room which is quite small, I will be providing all my own products but yet again am unsure what to quote!!! any help would be appreciated, Thanks  Nat ???

I' quote for the cleaning and the rubbish removal seperately, £180 for the clean then qoute for a contractor to remove the rubbish as you should'nt do it unless you have a licience. I would'nt take it away in my van as aruond here they ask loads of questions - if you want to do it in your car but its grief if your caught. The solicitor won't care how much you charge within reason because it will only come off the old lady's estate, they will just want to put a name next to the job
