I have not not put sills in the poll as I do them as standard, just would like to know what others think and the easier way to find out is with a poll so others that just read posts may take part in this aswell.

can you please use options 3 to 6 (the first 2 options 1= glass only) (2, being glass and frame)

Just the glass. Most of the house I do have wooden painted frames, most are flaking with loads of putty missing. The sills tend to be concrete, again with pitted and flaking paint.  A quick wipe over isn't really a goer!

Where it's a nice upvc frame/sill, then yes I'll wipe it over but only because it makes cleaning the glass easier.

To me a "window" is just the glass. If you break somebodies window it's taken as read that you've broken the glass....not the frame as well!

It varies.

All new work and most old work is wfp.
I do most frames every few months to keep them up to scratch, but I don't see the point in wasting time doing them religiously every month.

To be honest, depends what they're paying.
A good price I'll take more care.
A crap price they don't get frames at all.

As Squeaky says, it varies (and price is a big influence ;))

I class everything in that hole in the wall as a window.
and clean the lot.

But i do not clean above vents.

I always pay more attention to the top frame the rest of the frame get a quick whip over
