Polo shirt Embroidery...where?
« on: March 12, 2008, 12:57:16 pm »
Does anyone have some experiences, or company's you recommend?

I'd like to get 4 or so shirts embroided with logo on the back and small one on the front.

I use the same people as Steven does... Very good quality and can't be beaten for price.

Its pobably better to get it printed if its any thing bigger than about 4" square.

Do them yourself is its going on white shirts. Buy the transfer paper, do the artwork and print a copy on white paper then go to your local colour photocopier and copy them off....... Then you just iron them on..... The paper for coloured T-shirts isn't that good unless you know someone with a gel printer rather than a bubblejet or lazer printer.

Does anyone know who will make up a square or similar of embroidered logo/print that I could buy from and get my wife to sew on to my own fleece etc ?

Or send my own garments to and have them print/embroider up?

Most companies will send you a sample before you order. The pictures in my last post the guy sent them as samples before we went ahead with the order you could easily sew them onto you own clothes.

Here is his email as the ebay link link is quite old now.

embroidery@stitchcraft.fsnet.co.uk

last order I had from him was

1 Fleece @ £13.99, 2 round neck T-Shirts @ £5.99 each,1 light weight water proof jacket @£15.00, and postage @£4.99.

all embroidered as per the samples on left breast and full size across the back.

We have just bought some (66 items to be precise) from XAMAX www.xamax.co.uk  They were exhibiting at the Cleaning show last year

The Polo shirts were £3.75 including embroidery and they are an excellent quality and seem to wash really well.  Also got some mens and ladies cut fleeces and sweatshirts done as well.

I sent them a photo of what I wanted done and they sent back a swatch of material with the embroidery on.  5 days turnaround.

Xmax are slightly cheeper but you have to order a lot from them and add vat to their quoted prices. The guy Steve and I used has a minimum order of 1 and prices quoted include vat.
