Well Ive got a Peugeot Expert 2.0 hdi, the engine in that is decent. Its not one of the new look ones, but as far as I know there is very little differnece between the models. Myself, I think its better to stick to Ford next time. There are more Fords in the UK so parts are cheaper etc etc and the French/Italian dont design their vans/cars so they can be fixed simply enough, Luke

not from the factory no, but i belive you can get them as a optional extra

Just one question though should the tank be fitted nearer the middle of the van just for stability and spreading the load

The van has active air suspension so its not a problem. Would be in a normal van though.

Best to phone Varitech for a quote for a price as It does depend on the options you have. I got a good deal as its on a 57 plate and the 08 is just starting.

If you lease a van you get the hole cost of the "hire" back as each payment is tax deductible, where as if you buy a van you get 50% of its value in the first year and 25% of its value in subsequent years.


For me its worth it as the new vans lease payment relates to 1 days work a month. So for me its a good way of continuing to have nice vehicles to promote my business.

Swiss Leasing are offering SCUDOS for £153 down then x59 £153 a month  +vat .Balloon payment at the end of £4500,but I think you can just hand it back instead if you want.

ive just got a new expert and there great .and had 3 seats fitted in the back for the kids still plenty of room but does lower the pay load

Is that a purefreedoom set up, and i was going to say the same as Aspects about tank being in middle, looking for my van now as got 7.5k but cant think what to get, my purefreedom system is going to be 3.5k so got 4k left, am looking at getting a 52 reg vivaro or trafic, or does anyone else have any other makes i should look at.

You will be riddled with problems if you but a vivaro/traffic/primastar for under £6500, and below 52 and reasonable millage,

personally i would recommend, and ex BT van, if you get it around 70,000 miles it will still have loads of life left, BT really look after their vans and it shows,

They have a 1200kg payload, programmable  eberscaper heater in the back, hot water heater, safety deposit box,

If you dont want any of these things you can sell them for near £300, and there is also the racking, which is secured to the chassis, so makes mounting a tank super easy,

You could make your self a diy system you know for half of what you are going to pay, and despite what people tell you ratchet straps secured to the chassis via a steel frame is more than enough

oh yeah its got a bulk head too
