best thing to do is try and find out who does the general cleaning and sub to them. You may not get top dollar but I do three different sites for the same company, and they also use me to do any of their commercial/ domestic work that needs doing

Darren,

You are probably wasting your time with phone calls like that, the scrap of paper he wrote your name and number on are probably in the bin by now!

You are far better off calling them and asking for a contact name for their contracts manager, then write to him/her and enclose a business card with your letter.  If they are looking for cleaning services they will contact you, if not then at the very least they will keep your card in their index system and may give you a call if they are let down.

I did this and got a call nearly two years later from a company who had been let down by their contract cleaners, they asked us if we could do a sparkle clean that afternoon.

We did it for them, 4 people on a £750K property and now have the contracts for three of their sites in Northumberland and we've been asked to quote for more sites in the Durham area.

yes mate its local, greenvale, mill house and a few scattery bits. Ive thought about the waterfed poles, its definitly the way forward im just abit scared to take the plunge.  I stay away from builders cleans, although they do seem to pay well from what ive heard.

mate, ive got a few in millhouse-i would say its got great windows for wfp as there is alot of awkward windows for ladders and the glass always seem to come up a treat, even on the first clean-backpack or trolley looks the best for that-the same goes for greenvale-would save alot of time holding ladders-give me a shout when your doing it and ill bring the backpack for a few hours and show you-lionheart and steve thanks for the sound advice-i am working on a letter today and am also going to contact the cleaning companies to get my name on their books incase they need help in the future
