Repossessions
« on: February 07, 2008, 08:24:12 pm »
Anyone see that programme last night? Might have put the wind up a few people - could explain why there's not a lot of money about. Picked up a new custy today fairly elderly so mortgage free - need to find a lot more like her. (except her windows and frames hadn't been done for five years!)

they are trying to talk us into it, there is plenty of money about it is just the sad idiots that talk about it, the louder they talk the more people will think and it annoys the hell out of me, stop people coming to the UK that should not be here and avoid the problems that are coming
  >:(

I did watch that program myself

i suspect anyone who has had a mortgage for 5 years plus will be fine for money. I reckon its the people who have just got a mortgage or whose first 2 year term is soon ending are the ones who are at most risk of overextending themselves.
That's the beauty of inflation for homeowners, as long as our prices or wages keep up with it, that mortgage payment will continue shrinking as a % of our earnings.

It was the massive debts that i found interesting from the minute they left school. All that credit so easy to get in the past.

What was that bloke thinking about getting loans to pay his morgage, the other 2 idiots on the programme i`ve got no time for,the majority of people in dept fall into the same catogory as them.If i can`t pay for it i don`t want it.

The couple who lost their house started with a mortgage of only 27k but ended up with a 140k debt ???

How can you sympathise with utter stupidity ::)

Don't want to sound too harsh but they had a child too, a young lad. It seemed to me they have been totaly irresponsible with their finances.

Inflation is a total load of BS. Inflation is at 2% as brown says. Yes it is when it comes to giving pay rises. The thing is it is totally false as it does not allow for fuel increases, Council Tax increases or Household energy bill increases. All these things have risen and will continue to rise sharply. I have been forwarned of £1.20 per ltr of diesel this year. If that happens that is a 40% rise in 12 months. All these increases hit peoples pockets and there disposable income falls which has a knock on effect to everything including us. You see if we dont put our prices up to reflect the increases in fuel and such that affect us then our disposable income falls. This is what happens during a recession. And YES it is here. No uses pretending. So Mr Brown it would be nice to know exactly how you do calculate inflation and why the aforementioned points are excluded!
