my choice of poles

i want a 17ft xtel pole for normal work and x tel hybrid 34ft for other high work should i get some. do you think i am buying too high a spec to begine with for starting out?

any tips

Only been WFP for 4 months but IMO lightness of the pole is extremely important, esp when cleaning windows above conservatories etc. I have been thinking of getiing the 17/18ft pole

i have the 17ft xtel and it is great for the price. Don't have the hybrid but if you can afford it go for it.
I did buy the 38ft universal from gardiners and apart from it making my arms  feel like popeye before the spinach i realised that a 25ft universal will reach all i have on my books. I like the idea of the hybrid but am waiting for gardiners slx to come out before i buy a longer more user friendly pole.

Step ladders will do most things you come across. You often need them to get the angle over cons roofs anyway.
