The tap water around here is about 270ppm.

Now I wouldnt want to do this as a rule, but is it possible to rig up a DI cannister and have tap water run through it, therefore at mains pressure; producing 0ppm water.

The reason I ask is Im thinking there may be times when you need to produce an amount of water on the job so to speak but having already used all your RO.

The answer is yes but your resin will not last that long, couple of tank fulls.

So to be able to achieve that, Id need to turn the flow down on the tap from the house?? to prevent a seal or connector from blowing?

No need Matt, I fill from the tap all the time, never had any problems, suggest you use two vessels in series though at such high tds

How many litres of resin does your cannister hold!!

Pressure should be ok. but turn the flow down to get better performance
