« on: January 20, 2008, 04:16:27 pm »
Hi All

Does anybody know of a supplier of Shurflo pumps.

Thanks in advance, I have been quoted supply and fit of one for £190 from Alltec. Its for a Advantage that I am selling and just want it at its best but without spending to much.

Cheers

Neil

Woodbridge would be marginallly less but if it goes wrong tough
So ask about a Guarantee before you buy as someone else told me that they replaced his dodgy pump so the boss obviously did not like me ;D ;D
I think the one I fitted myself was less  than £100

I am making the jump to Truckmount and dont want a portable as big as my advantage, I will keep my Aqua 40 for the jobs I cant do with the Truckmount.

Not sure what I am going to sell it for yet but will keep you informed. Maybe I wont if I can get my brother to do it as a side line to his cleaning business in Crawley.

50% sale is working a treat, never been so busy in Jan and making as much as I have this month. It has got the phone ringing, Even worked today.

I've been doing a 3000 sq ft office in Wokingham today, KNACKERED! I have a Jan sale every year as I said Jan is my second best month however this Jan will take some beating. Which T/M are you going for>

The pump fitted to Advantages is the induction motored, restricted to 135 psi pump, not the bog standard one. This price for fitted is not bad. I would charge the same.

Does this help? They must be easy to fit as Ive changed mine on my Pro Plus (when I had one). They modified it so it is a lot easier to maintain and called it an Advantage. So if I can do it on a more akward Alltec Pro Plus, you must be able to to it in 15 mins max ;D

Idealy i want to go for a secound hand machine but if I need to buy new I think I will go with the Blazer xl, as it looks a good start up machine.

Been told to wait until Carpex as that when the best deals happen.

Kev

Thanks for that website it looks great.

What is the process for changing the valves on the pump.
Spoke with Sue from Wilsonpumps today, very helpful.

If you purchase the valve kit all instructions come with kit. 6 screws in total.

But I didnt have time and decided to chance it, filthy carpets but he was ok, and Im doing his Mums on Wed morning. Not so sure about the neighbours though! Do you know this area?
