Even if i hated canvassing i would hate wasting money more. How difficult is it, Hi can i give you a free quote to clean your windows.... yes! job done or no! ok sorry to have bothered you heres my card incase you change your mind. Why dont you pay someone to wipe your arse aswell!Just do it yourself!!in a nutshell i have very little time to spare as my son and i work 5-6 days a week FULL TIME and when i'm finished for the day i'm too knackered to go canvassing.the reason we are trying to gain more work is so we can have 2 vans on the road both working full time (me with 1 and my boy with the other)recently i have been canvassing for a couple of hours and have to say my overall results were better than using a canvassing company, with no losses or disputes in all new jobs.why is this? answer, because i can get my own pricing right and work on my terms and conditions.it's highly unlikely that i will ever employ anyone else to canvass for me (with the exception of my son who's good at it too)

I had this once when i was working for another chap about 8 years ago. We turned up 8am to clean a b&b but it wasnt just a cup of tea and a biscuit it was a full english. She was bragging how good it was and offered us to sample it and tell her what we thought. When he went to collect the money she demanded it be done for free cos the 2 breakfasts were 8 pound and the job was 8 pound, he wasnt very happy. Ive learnt from his mistake and dont accept any food, tea or biscuits. Slows you down anyway! funny though.
