that seems about right , but over time you will probably use less as the windows will be staying cleaner so not as much water needed .
where theres muck theres money

i seem to use loads too i hate having to change between barrels each time and then reprime the pump ....  i hate my fan jets too - they must waste loads of water dripping straight off the brush..  i think an overhead spray jet would be best.

I change the water before the water gets to low!! then just pour in the water to the other barrel when some has been used.

yes, well my setup is a bit different- im not using a trolley i hated when i was, so i have my setup in the back of a ford escort estate with 7 barrels or so, and a mounted reel in the back etc.. so when one barrel runs out while im working, i have to go back unscrew the lid and the feed pipe change over, disconnect hose prime pump, connect hose go back to next job, i hate it - i need a van with a nice big tank! anyone want to donate one!

Oh i see!! couldnt you change the setup?? for example have a little bit of hose going into a T connection into 2 or 3 barrels at once? then turn up at house shuv in he hoses or feed pipes connect up turn on away you go??? ... mite not work jus an idea i was thinking about.

yeah i though about that one.. only thing is if one emptied faster than the other as soon as the tube going to the bottom of one tank got air then the pump wouldnt suck from the other one anymore.. i thought about just bolting a 125 ltr or 250 tank in there but i think 250ltr tank would be too much and i dont wont to mess up the escort anymore. Im looking at getting a large transit 330 with a omnipole 800ltr tank and setup but not yet..
i dont know, 25 litre tanks get used up pretty quick.. i cant carry enough water with me at the moment i need about 300 litres per day but i can take about 150-175.
