Where to use stop connectors on van based RO setup.
« on: December 21, 2007, 11:31:27 am »
Just wondering, obviously on the fill ports, but where else? On the DI vessel?

How do they actually work? Do they respond to drop in pressure? Like stopping the pump, and they will provide a leak free connection? Or do they just stop if you unplug them? Having no added benefit then if you have to change components, and you don't want water all over the van floor?

Thanks.

Dont use them on the DI Vessels, use the straight through connectors. The valve ones give no end of trouble when connected there, they have a tendency to pop off when the pressure builds up for one.

I've got one on the hozetail of my microbore reel it means that when the pole hose is disconnected the reel stays pressured and full of water ready for the next job. I also have one on the end of my hose that exits under the van for when i want to use the reel outside. It's just a valve that only lets the water flow one way. Very simple really.
