can anyone please help
i have just been advised that my insurance is to go through the roof!!.
i have not had one claim  so i cant understand why.
am looking for another insurer, does anyone have suggestions please.
price i paid was £350 apparantly now £1500 !!!

hi try natwest , i know it sounds crazy going to a bank(they are normally the dearest) but since they got taken over a couple of years ago there insurance arm seems to be becoming aggressive about new buisiness. if you call 0845 6072607 nwest bus banking, they will point you in right direction

did they give you a reason why?

My own insurance has recently doubled too. all because i phoned up to check if we were covered to clean our clients tools, they then started asking questions about what we did exactly? even though id already told them about everything down to the last dot. mine jumped from £500 to £1'200 all because they didnt listen to me in first place.

im with Allianz Cornhill so steer clear of them.

i pay £1450.00 for public and employees insurance pluss a couple of add ons. i think its a bout the norm at the mo for good insurance

i asked why for the increase
the reply was that although i had not had any claims a lot of other carpet cleaners had.
thought this a bit of an obscure reason !!.
the difficulty as you guys obvoisly know
is that i can get reasonable cover
but not to include any damage that i do directly to what i am cleaning.
hope this makes some sense!!.

re insurance cover
i am now totally confused
today i phoned hsbc
they gave me a quote for £198 pounds
they insist this covers both 5 mil public and 2 mill private liablity
they will add on one extra to cover temp employees
they insist i do not need product liablity as this is only reqd if you are selling something
they insist guys. this covers any damage that should occur whilst cleaning
commenrts please cause i am bloody confused. and pleased.
