Good marketing idea
« on: December 01, 2007, 05:07:04 pm »
Lately I have been getting calls for window cleaning/pressure washing services as Christmas gifts.

What a great idea to offer our services as gifts! Gift certificates for Christmas, birthday, anniversary, etc.

For people who are challenging to buy for, this is a great option.  A good idea to put out fliers marketing this or advertise in the local paper.

Cheers,

Texas Girl :-*

Lets face it marketing it all about getting your message across and there are many holidays and events that people have....and they need services whether catering, cars, flowers etc, etc

This year I have cleaned for 2 very large houses (windows, guttering, woodwork) purely on the basis that there were celebrating significant events in their lives and were holding parties.

I now clean their windows on a regular basis...

So every chance to get your name out there is worth  looking at...

ps has anyone had any real success with a referral scheme..if you have how have you planned put it into action?

Dave.

How about this then...

I ordered a takeaway tonight (home delivery) and in the bag was a leaflet for a local window cleaner  :o

In the past I have given something along these lines:

'This voucher entitles the bearer to a FREE external window clean, if used before (date)
Please contact AMR Window Cleaners to make arrangements'

Telephone 5858585
[/color]

Twice I have given these as wedding presents to friends that I would otherwise have difficulty in choosing a suitable gift for, knowing beforehand that they didn't have a regular window cleaner.

If only we had time to market our services in every available way.

We would maximize our potential of business growth.

Myself; I am so busy lately because of normal holiday rush; do not have time to market my services in any additional ways.

The yellow pages have been my best investment. But there are so many things we can and should do if we really want to maximize our potential.

It always comes down to the more bait(marketing) you put out there; the more fish (customers) you will pull in.

We should do it all. If you want to have a larger business.

Cheers,
