[Bobs Window Cleaning]

I have water leaking/spilling from the cap at the top of my 125l upright tank. Its not coming from the breather but from under the cap. Its happen more when the water is sloshing about down the country lanes.

 Its all new so shouldn't be worn and the rubber washer in the cap seems fine.

Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

This seems to be a design fault, as I have heared it from lots of guy's on here.

What some of them tend to do, Is to put a sheet of polythene over the filler hole and then screw the lid down onto it.

cut a plastic bag up, that should do the trick, if I had to do it, I think I would cut a little hole in the middle so the tank can still breath, or you will have to remove it on every job.

unscrew the part attached to tank put good bed of silicone and screw back down this should seal it as cap itself will be sealed

That plastic bag idea won`t work,neither will different O rings you name it.I`ve had this trouble with upright tanks and it`s all down to the tank threads,take em out and get the equivilent in a flat version the lids are 10 times better on flat tanks.

Ive only just had the tank fitted. Its all brand new so reluctant so take it out for a flat tank.

A flat tank would also take up most of the floor space in my Kangoo.

I rang supplier and he will send another rubber o ring and we will go from there.
