Cleaner For Kitchen Ceramic tiles
« on: November 03, 2007, 10:46:02 am »

Can anyone recommend a low foam cleaner for kitchen ceramic tiles.
It`s for my own home.I have been using a cleaner from my local janitorial
Supplies but I`m getting loads of foam with it that I feel is not necessary.
It does work oaky but there again,I keep my floor fairly clean anyways.
I tend to clean it weekly with deck brush, synthetic sponge etc.
Thanks for replies.

Hi

Why does it have to be a foaming product??

I use Brillio degreaser (have done for 4 years), spray on, leave for a min, scour with green scourer, wipe with plain white kitchen towel.

Buff with window cleaner & kitchen towel if required to shine.

If this floor is cleaned weekly then why is anything above and beyond a simple muliti-purpose floor cleaner needed? I use Mr Muscle lime & aloe-vera multi surface liquid. It tells you to use 2 caps to 5L of water but i only ever use 1 cap. It is a really good cleaner for doing what i call clean floors. I just use a decent string mop and a bucket.

martin I reckon you must have shares in a kitchen towel company, do you use it for everything?  ;D

Hi

Yep, it is excellent kit and I wouldn't be without it.

Once I have scrubbed bath, tile, bog, basin, kitchen units, worktops, skirting, doors, frames, windows, (helmet)  :o

I use the kitchen towel after, it extracts the dust, grease & grime.

I use the tesco 8 pack, plain white not patterned, the pattern can bleed.

Hi

Have to agree with Martin on this one, I would not be without the stuff. I only use the Commercial Blue Centre Flow rolls as this is the only paper towel accepted to use in a commercial enviroment..

I agree it is good for polishing up after you cleaned but does it not work out a bit expensive, I use micro fibre cloths which i can use and wash and re use again and again would this not be a better option for yourself
