think the trad boys are loving the hint of a WFP ban
« on: October 28, 2007, 06:58:48 pm »
Was looking at the WC work for sale on ebay when i read one of the questions for the work and this was it:

Q:     hi,how many houses do you clean every four weeks,or eight. do you work on your own? or with some one? how many days dose it take to clean a four week round. do you clean with a water fed pole.thanks    28-Oct-07

A:     This round generates 20 days work (for 2 people)every 4 weeks (Monday to Friday). One person could do the work, but it would naturally take longer. Similarly, with one person working, there would be no one to foot the ladder if conditions required this. It has not been cleaned with a water fed pole, we use traditional methods. Given the forthcoming bans on pressurised water systems (REF: WATER SHORTAGE) the pole system will be impractical/ilegal during the summer months. If you want to discuss further please call me (Andy) on: 07956 872776.

Bloody liberty!!!  ;D ;D ;D

You can't blame them- they've took enought 'ladders are illegal'.

Any trad boys thinking of spending a tidy few grand on wfp, don't do it. Stay where you are you'll be wasteing your money.
 ;)

Infintiy 26i is the business end of the concept hot system.

All I need to do is figure out how to get one in my van without spending 8k. In the meantime if everyone else could cooperate and stick to ladders on the grounds that wfp is pointless and illegal over the summer months that would be most helpfull.

Ifv pole system is banned, a lot of other activities will also need banning. Like washing council vehicles, cleaning floors in council buildings, watering council hanging baskets, topping up council swimming pools, washing of private cars,

I have heard that the main issue is not the water use but evaporation. If the water goes back into the drains then that is viewed as ok. Might need to collect the waste water though using pro-10 or similar and put it down sewer?
