I find with wet weather if I have something else which doesnt matter if its wet then my working week gets re-arranged. Gutters/fascia cleans that kind of thing.
I have also got a couple of gardening jobs, one small and the other quite nice in that she is easily persuaded and flexible (NO!! not that way
) which I fall back on sometimes if its dreary weatherwise. Today it was iserable out, so Ive been to cut her grass, it was planned for tomorrow, but todays just as good and it was depressing out there first thing this morning.
Regarding mid-winter wet weather, we have a period of weather around the end of January through Feb and into March sometimes where low pressure systems just roll in off the Atlantic one after the other, again and again and again, bringing bands of wet weather almost incessantly. I sit tight when this occurs, but eventually after tolerating it for a certain amount of time HAVE to go out and work regardless of what the custy thinks or wants. My usual response is I have bills to pay and if I dont work this time of year then I'll be jacking the job in and they know then they'll need to get another cleaner. Quite often now I like to inform them its an all year round service, they have to take the rough with the smooth; I dont want to be getting wet, but its my job. I cant think of any custy Ive lost through dodgy weather.
Im planning a weeks diving in Egypt this coming Feb as that time of year depresses me
