anybody got a vw caddy as im thinking of getting a upright tank for mine as the laydown one iv got takes the whole floor space.
That was ok at first but now by the end of the day keep lifting my hose reel to my chest to put it away or taking my battery out is a pain.
plus with a upright tank it will be quicker  chuck my stuff in the back when im finished.

has anyone got any pictures of the back of there van??

hi nigel the van is fine just got the wrong tank in it. my longest pole is the one you sold me and that goes in with ease.
I borded over the tank once it was in so every thing is on top of the tank cliped down.

did you ever sort that brush out you was doing??

Joe get a tank that completley covers the floor space and mount your hosereel on top of it,you could get a sheet of ply over the top of the tank and then use that flat space for storage.

why not have a split charge relay fitted?
then you don't have to do that anymore, it'll charge itself whilst your driving around.
mine cost £50 with fitting, i had mine done by a local towbar fitter.

I have a VW Caddy and don't find it too small, I will eventually upgrade but mine is fine for now

Bit messier, but I know where everything is.Fits in a 250ltr tank and 5x 25ltr jerry cans, more than enough for a days work

you still have that tank holded down with luggage straps   its not safe

But I thought these straps were for this kind of thing, so 2 x 2 ton straps will not hold this tank safely.

What other options do I have apart from welding in metal straps

Lee get the tank secure m8, not only are you putting your self in danger you are also putting others in danger too, it only cost a couple of hundred quid maybe even less to get it secure and it is a tax deductable expense

I was talking about what you have the staps conected to. the little loops in the van flimsy stuff for holding doing luggage. deffo not that amount of weight tho. surly you can feel there not very strong.
