freelance qualified rope access technicians?
« on: May 15, 2007, 03:01:55 pm »
Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if such a thing as a qualified freelance rope access techinician? and if so where i'd find some?

i currently have a contract who already have a company come in and do the work, they recently asked if i could find them a cheaper quote.
they gave me the paper work including the last invoice from this company, which was just under £600 - i had no idea it could be this lucrative.

i've contacted the irata & the federation of window cleaners who offer details of other companies who provide this kind of work - but is there anyway of contacting qualified freelance technicians for occasional work with out having to pay for the course- thus keeping most of the money!

any help at all would be great.

well, you have to have a level 1 qualified abseiler to supervise the abeiling set up/health + safety...you cannot just get an abseiler to work on their own...at least 2 and 1 has to be level 1 qualified.

Georgy

There is no easy option that is why they charge what they do.

If you really examine what they can earn it is not much more if any than someone with a good solid round.
