WCR canvassers
« on: September 25, 2007, 05:02:01 pm »
As promised I am posting a report on some canvassers that I had been using for the first time, namely Window Cleaning Rounds.

My first impression on meeting Nathan and his buddy were that they were smartly dressed, well spoken, polite and seemed to know the market place so I was happy to give them a go.

Today I did the calls that were canvassed and I have to say I was impressed with the work that had got for me, out of all the jobs only one was underpriced, it was priced at £20 and in my view it should have been at least £30, in the end I did it for the £20 as stated but told the lady I could no longer do it for that price.
On the other hand some of the jobs were better prices than I would have quoted so it’s swing and roundabouts I guess.
One other job said they had not agreed to going ahead.

So overall I am happy with the result and would give them 95% out of 100

good to hear it mate! I myself am just in the process of getting somebody in to help build my round up. To be honest I find it hard to do much advertising now but I still need the work coming in so I don't mind paying somebody to help me build my round up.

Thata good to hear one of these companys getting good reports.

Just a question if you buy work you cant put it through you books as its classed as a good will gesture but if you pay a company can you put it through yoyr books?

Also has any one used WCR for commercial?

Thank you Jay for your honest comments.

Just to note WCR has changed how we operate, management involved, and the website will be updated in the future to clarify these changes.

I believe that the changes will benefit most that are considering a outsourced professional door to door service.

I've read this before about good will gestures not being tax deductible.  I was wondering how it would look if it was classified as a consultancy fee?

How is it good will?

You PAY for a service. And you can employ a canvasser or marketting company. Legit expense.

This is correct. I've checked with IR & it's only when you buy an existing round you cant put it against books as it's good will.

When you empoly someone like WCR it's an expense cause you have used a service to aquire the work.

Was also told if they check it out & you cant prove it was from a round builder they will fine you, charge interest, want the tax you should of paid & start a full investigation.

We always supply an invoice and contract, for our records and yours.

Be careful when you use the words, employ a canvasser. You are using a service provider which can be tax deductable against advertising and marketing.
