Fairly new to this too, but here's my bit. I,ve prepared a lot of my cleans for wfp by really doing a good job on the top frame in the last trad clean. Not all though. I clean the top frame only and rinse. Do all the windows like this and then go back not touching the top frame this time. I rinse with the brush off. If it's a fairly big house or a street, the first windows have dried by the time I finish, so I can check for runs etc. Re-do if necessary. After the first clean I do the top frame with the window.

Hi Steve, glad to hear you like wfp!
Personally I always clean the frames, as others suggest on a first clean do frames and glass (paying more attention to frames to get rid of all the muck/soap residue) leave to dry and go back and clean glass only and giving it a good rinse, as for brush on or off, with sheeting glass I rinse on, as for coated glass or the beading type I tend to rinse off just to make sure, be aware though of rising off that you don't spray dirt and contaminates onto the glass from surrounding brick work, foliage etc.
Rinsing on though imo is preferable, and a good brush that does'nt hold the dirt will make this a lot easier.
I dont know what system you are using but if you arent already I would strongly recommend microbore hose and a flow controller tap on the end of it, these two things have vastly improved the efficiency of my work and save on my water usuage.
Hope this advice helps you sir.
Any other questions ask away.

i seem to be useing my trolly a lot at the moment , i,m working on larger houses next week , think microbore will be the next investment for out the back of my van ,  does it kink as much ?
                            cheers steve

Mines a diy system too Steve.
The microbore hardly ever kinks, compared to 1/2 " tricoflex, its so much lighter and easier to reel in and out plus you can fit more of it on a reel,

If you keep the frames clean the results should be rain proof if you know what i mean?
I always rinsed off the glass but lately on some work i don't rinse at all, but i have a higher flow rate than i used to work with.
It's hard to give a definitive answer because i use different techniques on different houses. Only by cleaning them a few times will you get to know which jobs can be done quickly without rinsing and which will not.
Almost all of any problems i have had with drips have come from wooden frames though. With these when i 1st do them i always go back and check when they are dry.
Once they come good they will always come good in future.
Good luck
