Gutter lance tips
« on: September 02, 2007, 03:51:09 pm »
Hi all
Ive got my 1st gutter job tomorow using the lance and gutter cleaner from Northern Tools.
Ive noticed other posts about these tools and was wondering if any of you can share your experinces and give me any helpful tips?
I had a practice on Thursday and made abit of a mess but noticed that if I keep the nozzle up against the side of the gutter(nearest me) most of the water and mess stays in the channel.
Was this possible because I'd already cleared most of the muck away, or shall I find tomorrow that this really does help keep everything inside the gutter?
Any tips would be gratefully recieved
Phil

Hi Phill.

I hold the pole at about 30 deree angle & hold the pole leaning slightly in front of me. From the down pipe clean to it in about meter section at a time, this way it runs off without too much coming over.

It will take you 2 or 3 jobs before you get the knack.
