I have run some adds on FB,   Personally  I wouldnt bother again, I found for the most part it was people wanting one off cleans
very few  turned out to be regular good customers .
It was also a bit of a ball ache having my phone keep pinging in the evening with people asking silly questions like " do I clean windows " ?
I also tried google  a little bit , better breed of customer but  was getting calls from places I dont cover. again its not something I would do again.
however , it I was after one off add ons , like gutter clearing , render cleaning etc , I would use FB again,

Out of hours is a real pain. I have turned messaging off. No customers can send a message through Facebook now. I hated it.

I used to run a  lot of facebook ads and used to sell leads to other window cleaners too.

I always had good results, on average i would pay 2 or 3 quid a lead and expect to convert 50%. In general i would expect £200 of ads to produce £400 of work.

However around a year ago Fb ads dropped off a cliff due to a few factors aroud iphones and brexit etc. Results nose dived and most people reported much worse results. Im not sure where its at now and there are probably work arounds to start getting results again.

I stopped with paid ads around this time.

I dont advertise much now as full but every so often i find if i post to a dozen or so local fb groups i usually get a very good response. in fact last time i did so on a sunday evening i had about 50 enquiries.

Best bang for buck is fb local groups and posting on your business page, also try instagram and the next door app both can be good.

No need to leaflet or canvass these days but that said canvassing will always bring in the most compact work and leaflets tend to get the best quality work so they have their place, online ads sit somewhere in the middle.

Never really used google adwords, better to spend that money on seo to get organic rank and then if the competition is high in your area you might want to try adwords. Personally i dont see how it can outperform facebook either paid or unpaid.

When i started getting into facebook ads i went over to a site called Udemy and studied loads of paid (cheap) courses on the subject. Of course you can find all the info online or you tube etc but Udemy collects all this into courses that make it much easier to learn. Like anything marketting and advertising online has a learning curve but well worth it.
