Hope some cc gods can help..

is it possible to start this business 'hitting the ground running'

any suggestions apart from the obvious 3/4 million leaflets (if not better start delivering)  I know there's no way to start with a full diary but any hints would be appreciated

thanks

Apart from the obvious leaflet drops in advance of starting business, i cant think of much. YP only comes out once a year so depending on when you start up this probably wont be much help. It may be a case of who you know with commercial work, this is how i started with relatives owning a large company, i was lucky!!
Starting off just doing evenings and weekends while keeping your current job is the norm i'm afraid. Your problem is solved by buying into a franchise but i doubt you want to do that.

Are you an experienced carpet / upholstery cleaner?

Do you have training / experience in spot removal techniques?

Have you completed any training in the above?

What market will you be targetting?

Commercial offices, etc;?

Rental market?

Domestic?

What is your prime piece of equipment? ie; truck mount, portable, low moisture, etc;?

Is your business name registered for taxation?

Do you have your business cards printed?

Do you have the necessary insurance in place?

Is your vehicle sign written?

Do you have a business plan?

Crikey, there's quite a bit to get in place before you even start.

Do it right to start with, keep on doing it right, and things will fall into place. I wish you well with your new venture.

I do not believe there is any one sure fire thing to do, that will get you up and running with a full diary from scratch.

Cheers,

Dave,

As I have posted elsewhere carpet cleaning is a tough business to get established in,  BUT this is an advantage because once you are establised  , you have a solid business.

Good luck,

Doug
