Hi Guys,

Ive used a type of brick acid from B&Q which has brought it up pretty well, but its just a oil shadow thats left

Squeeky Ive posted it on the general cleaning forum as well its just that I know some of us WCers have a sideline in driveway/fascia cleaning

Yep, washing up liquid will get rid of oil.
Didn't think of that.

Thanks for the suggestion but I think were a bit passed the fairy liquid stage  ;)

I used washing up liquid to eat into the oil slick but what im talking about now is a faint shadow IN the stone I think anything thats gonna get this up is gonna require goggles and gloves.

Regards

Alistair

Gazza,

No Ive not used TFR but just presumed that if brick acid wouldnt bring it up TFR wouldn't

Why - do you think differently?   :)

I used tfr on an oil spillage on tarmac, it helped but didn't shift it all, I jet washed it too but the stain is still there after a month.

if the oil stain is on tarmac and you jetwash the tarmac then it will cause the tarmac to break up because oil usually damages tarmac, if you want to remove oil from stone or flags then pirtek hydraulics  who have stores nationwide sell a chemical that works
