evening all,

had agreat day on site,

client- need to do plot x befroe 12 as hand over today, its a sparkle,

so in we go, scrape  the floors, remove the expanded foam, work around the plastic surgeon, mop the floors, vac the floors, scrape the grout off the tiles, work around the sparky, completely clean out the kitchen, ask the site labourer to take the hardboard off the stairs. INVOICE NOW GOING UP,

clean all internal windows, meet site mgr show snag items, go outside clean the entrance, scrape the external windows, vac out thte casesments, and clean the external windows, wathc the mastic man scrape all internal windows, watch painter paint some internals,

agreed with site mgr that retrospective clean required, so move two men to next plot, mop out (total waste of time) then abandon plot for two hours, whilst they finish building it.

then re mop and wipe, buyer turns up buys house abd collects keys.

site mgr great bloke, agreed that was not £60 sparkle clean, infact build clean to sparkle fininsh with retrospectivr charge to other trades fro recleaning after entry.

So a profitable two days on site.

Moral of the story, deliver the service and communicate to the client, build the relationship.  We are now on site next week, and 3 days the following week, and probably another two sites next month.

so have a good weekend everybody

regards

where abouts are you based please.

builders cleans specifications vary greatly, is scraping floors, cleaning down all apintwork, kitchens, and bathrooms and cleaning of the windows.

But the biggest problem is the state of the properties that are cleaned after the trades have finished, and also the number of revisists required, from reclean to sparkle clean.
