« on: July 04, 2007, 07:25:15 am »
i cleaned an oven and on taking the door off i notticed the hinge was worn. the lady left me in the house alone and said her son ,who did not live there would be down to lock up.inotticed that the door hinge would not go back together properly ,so the door would not close properly. iadvised the son of the problem and left, now the lady says i have to put right or her son will be round to sort me out. would you be threatened in to paying? hinges cost £35.

Hi

Say, sure send him round...

Then tell her you will prosecute with assult & battery with intent to wound.

Inform the police before hand (on the non emergency number) giving names and numbers, then also tell her you will be forced to take civil action for loss of earnings and punitive damages.

Hi

After trying to fix the hinge and advising the client I would of offered some sort of a discount. As far as the threatening is concerned I would also tell the client that if it carried on that she would not get anything.
