Hi
Are stair wands worth the money. I use my hand tool and it takes forever. What do you use for stairs any advice would be welcome.
Thanks Fred.

I use the same as Steve, although like you I used my hand tool in the beginning. First set of stairs I did with stair tool really put the hand tool to shame. Took half the time & effort.

I used one for the first time today. Great for the flat parts (that you step on) but how on earth do you clean the uprights with it?

The best stair tool in my opinion is the 9inch swivel head! you can do the risers with them too! and so quickly! great for bathrooms too!
all the best

Owen, I know what you mean. It takes a bit getting used too but I just spray the riser, turn the wand upside down and do upward strokes or if its a high one you can go along sideways.

Got a swivel head from A&M. Don't think I'm using it properly. The swivel bit is very stiff even with the screw thread loose.
Found I was overwetting the nose and have reverted back to a hand tool. Is it just practice?
ps the jets are same size as wand.

Mike, a bit of WD40 will sort the head turning problem, with regards the nose i just give it an extra dry pass and follow the carpet from flat onto the riser, takes a bit of getting used to but it can be done.

use the stair tool all the time, its brill , did find with sythetics i had to turn down the pressure and temp to stop it marking the risers but sorted that now
sometimes have to do stubborn edges with a hand tool, but thats no big deal
