Hello all,

A chemical supplier has supplied me with an acid cleaner for removing concrete splashes from floors and has told me that I should be able to use it on glass to remove concrete splashes.

Has anyone here ever used an acid cleaner on glass and if so did it have any side effects on frames ets or the glass itself.

Hydrochloric acid can etch glass also not good for aluminium
Try it on an old piece of scrap glass and a little dab on the frame before you try it on the job.

Best way to get snots off glass is using an american line blade (shaving technology apparently!) whilst glass is wet. Acid will almost certainly damage glass and frames for good.

     Brick acid will not damage glass!!!!! Some metal might be tarnished (cheap letter boxes etc) and if used neat it can 'burn' brickwork, but I repeat, it will not damage glass!
