High Level Cleaning Help!!
« on: May 22, 2007, 08:02:53 pm »
Hello.

Wondering if anyone can offer some advise on the best equipment to use for a high level clean, ( Dust Down. ) The property is now a restaurant but used to be a fish market, it has a lot of high level steel work, lights and four huge extractor ducts that have all collected loads of dust over a number of years.

The maximum height needed to get to is around 25FT, floor space is limited due to furniture etc, so MEWP or tower scaffold is probably out of the question, so i'm wondering if anyone has had any experience of this sort of work from ladders, the plan would be to use a suitable ladder( footed of course.) working with a back pack vacuum, damp cloths etc,

Supposing all the areas can be accessed from ladders, can a good result be acheived just using vacuum cleaners to remove the dust, or would you also have to do a wipe down with cloths etc?.

If anyone has any experience to share on the best way to carryout this work, including some help on choosing the best back pack vac's to use would be a great help.

hi there

ring me if you want to chat

07771 526246

i have used small footprint kit, to do that sort of thing.

dont use ladders,

ging to need an alkaline cleaner such as solabac, which is also food safe,

we would sheet down the grund level, access kit in, and get in there and clean it up close and personal, you cant expect to get a great result off a ladder, .

where abouts is it ??  be more than happy to talk more

regards
