WFP on Gutters Fascias etc
« on: May 03, 2007, 09:30:15 pm »
I have done these cleans in the past, but traditional, i;e scrub with a cloth and wipe dry with scrim, but now usually pass them on as i find them quite time consuming and always seem to under price them, but want to line them up as bad weather work!

how does wfp bring these jobs up?
do you need a brush with stiffer bristles?
is it hard going getting under overhangs and into corners?
is it worth spraying with tfr first?

Any tips and suggestions would be great!

thanks

Does the job great but hard work, I've got one lined up and going to try the swivel brush.

On average how much quicker can it be done with the pole, obviously speed is not the only advantage, safer than being on a ladder. Take it you have to do the windows after?

use ladders

so much easier, and you can clean out the gutters too!

i charge about 5 pound per meter to clean and wipe gutters fascias, that's a different story, prob about 2.50 per meter, if its not dirty, if your up there any ways,

If it's got them little air vents underneath then no not quicker but a lot safer, if not ten times quicker and safer

I never even thought about the vents, do you just charge more and explain the problem?

With vents you have to keep on scrubing as they are full of dirt, I charge £70 for 4 sides, not worth going cheaper.

Alex,

I do it this way as I fell leaning back and hurt my back, I value my life and my family. My veiw and my advise, each to their own.

The problem with the vents i was thinking of is the water jets spraying water up through the vents into the eaves??

WFP works a treat, bye bye green gutters in mins.

Water through vents is no problem as the water runs back out.

I've done a few of these jobs with wfp and found it to be quick money with quite a good result.
The green stuff comes off great and all my clients have been happy with the results.
I avoid getting water in the vents if possible- the dirt never seems to stop coming out.I  brush over the vents with water off and finish off by wrapping a micro fibre cloth or scrim around the brush and dragging along the underside.
Its quick but hard work  and I get a very wet left leg as the water runs down the pole and drips off the elbow. :(
