IPAF certificate
« on: April 27, 2007, 08:30:44 pm »
Hello

Just thought you would like to know i have just passed my IPAF course (1 day) for MEWP vehicles, very good instructor, i have never driven one before, it was a z45/25 genie and passed with 96%!!!

days course £175.00 per person with 2 attending (by the way my colleague passed with 92% so i beat him, not a competition i know but its nice to win with a higher score isnt it!!) anyway it is another string to the bow as it were and the AZTEC empire continues to grow from strength to strength. i am not boasting just proud of my efforts in 5 years trading, it does give a professional look to the business with names and accredited certificates to prove you are no 'fly by nights' dont you think? cheers for reading and good luck fellow pros

thank you very much, i appreciate that comment and understand now how important the legislation is and I WILL BE PRICING ACCORDINGLY!!! with how much effort we try to put in i believe that we shouldnt be classed as a luxury but a neccesity (cant spell that one!!) is that right?! other trades and associations charge ridiculous amounts for shoddy and easy work but window cleaners are expected to be paid 'peanuts for monkeys work' if they all looked behind the scenes and what effort we all try to put in we are in a profession not a hobby and should be treated with such respect, not just 'oh you are just the window cleaner' as if to say you dont matter, plenty more where you come from .A lot of hard work and preparation goes into what others take for granted e.g if there were no street cleaners for a month in your town centre do you think anyone would notice? I DO

Well done Aztec.

We use cherry - pickers regular, nice work makes a change from normal day to day.

Did you take the harness course with that, we ve put 6 blokes on that aswell, its something coming in soon compulsory?

I did mine  about 8 months ago

(SL) Genie GS520-21   (SPB) Genie 2450-330

Have hired about 6 machines since

I am going to add MEWP to my Safe contractor  ( when i can sort out the risk/ method statements for them )
I seem to remember someone on this forum saying they would send me a copy of some they had done for me to look at.( a earlier post )
