Water meters and hard water.
In and around Wolverhampton the water can vary from soft to quite hard depending which part of town you’re in.
Where I live the water tends to be softer than 4 miles across town, so when ever possible I fill up at home if I know I’ll be working in a hard water area.
If and I say this with tongue in cheek I was on a water meter I would still fill up at home rather than suffer the consequences of what hard water will do to my machine.
In other words I’d rather pay for my water than have the ball ache of running de scaler though the heat exchangers every week. Besides on an average week I will only use around 3 cubic mtrs of water.
