Pain in the nic!
« on: March 25, 2007, 04:03:22 pm »
does anyone else get a nic in a hard rubber blade when using thier BOAB?

I know you can get something that fits on your BOAB, but does your blade slide in easily? or is it more of a pain?

Hi Leekson

Yes i think it is a common vault if you use the newer unger kind, but you can get a blade protector which is only the handle rubber that goes on a squeegee handle, you can get them from www.soapnational.co.uk at a cost of only 80p.

Just click onto new products and scroll down to bottom of page.

I just changed my BOAB for same reason. Few years old and worn rough edges were causing problem. I carry a 14" Ergotec blade in it. Tried filing edges but didn't work. Bought new Unger type bucket - so far ok. Peter

At first it's stiff but as the day goes on and the boab is full of soapy water it glides in with ease!

I do and it does make the rubber last a little longer, infact I use 2 because one sinks to the bottom!
