Stains
« on: March 20, 2007, 03:24:13 pm »
hi,

I have a commercial customer I clean for once a month and they have asked me whether it would be possible to get some coffee and oil stains out of the carpet on the stairs.

I thought you guys would be the ones to ask!

Any thoughts?

thanks
Ange

red rx works on oil stains does it?

I'd go to your local chemical suplier and ask for some coffee stain remover & oil stain remover if they know their bussiness then they will be able to give you some advise based on the chemicals they sell you.

what type of carpet is it?
i clean a number of offices on a regular basis, and generaly most stains come straight out with h/w/e/
they are usualy low profile nylon, never found coffee to be a problem and on one occasion oil was not a problem.

Some sort of solvent chem for the oil, but if its a office be sure its not bitumen backed tiles as a solvent could have a adverse effect on these.

Eco spotter or Solvex for the oil for the Oil, Red Rx or No 3 for the Coffee, but always check what you are cleaning uncluding the backing as Red says.
