Where can I buy new resin?
« on: July 25, 2004, 02:12:18 am »
Hello,

I have an RO system from Peter and my DI Resin is starting to run out. It is already reading 2ppm.

I want to be able to change the resin in the cartridge, it looks pretty easy to do, but I can't find a supplier for the resin.

Can anyone suggest where the best quality resin can purchased at the best price? I understand that I can buy 25KG bags of resin, but I have looked and looked and can't find anything.

Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place. :(

Thanks,

Colin

No1  Get back to your supplier first.

No2  Ask any other WFP manufacturer.

No3  Do a search on these boards for "resin".

No4  Look on e-bay.

Go for virgin resin rather than regenerated.

Colin, ALL pole suppliers stock and sell resin.

I paid about £85 for a 25 litre bag from pure2o
http://www.pure2o.co.uk

BUT 25 litres is a lot of resin, the cartridge from peter holds about 1 litre of resin, so 1 bag will last about 15 months!

Alternatively, Peter will supply the resin for one cartridge for about £5

It’s starting to run out at 2? pure water still cleans spot, smear, run free upto 30.Ive never changed a chamber untill it has reached 25 at least. Then I change all three within three weeks. Ive tried loads of different suppliers but have always found that the supplier of your unit will probably be the best long term because of the customer service they will provide.
