Merlin vs. 4040
« on: January 29, 2007, 06:01:40 pm »
Im really still hung up on whether or not to go with a merlin or a 4040 RO?

Im planning on setting up a static systems so I dont need to have the water produced at a really high rate of speed.

Any advantages to one over the other when doing static?

Also the Merlins are available in the US to me for about $300.00 US.

The 40/40 system will produce a lower ppm reading than the merlin but it does cost quite a bit more, you will save money on the di resin thats for sure but it might take years to recoup the difference depending on what your ppm reading is before ro. I supposes it depends on how much water you are going to be using.
