My nephew (carpet fitter) phoned me today saying that he gave my number to one of his customers, as they wants their hsl & t/lounge cleaned he then advised that the t/lounge carpet is stretched my reply why don’t you refit it, digging a bit deeper she had it cleaned some time ago and it was left extremely wet and took a few days to dry.

I will put my hands up and say I have shrunk one carpet in my time, but never stretched one.

Has any one come a cross this type of case

Hi Len,

If the underlying structure of a carpet consists of polypropolene and latex and it is flooded with very hot water - especially with heavy-handed wand strokes - it is not hard to stretch a carpet.

I stetched a (believe it or not) B*&(&^%(m Wilton in a Pakistani Restaurant some years ago.
