Dave make sure its the proper stuff, the cheap stuff is called stockinette or mutten cloth. and is a lot thiner than scrim.

Scrim on the roll works out a lot cheaper than purchased single. But you have to sew a hem on it.

I used to get scrim direct from the mill when I sold window cleaning equipment, I will see if I still have there address an number.

Not sure if it's the same material as we use?

I have used the one off ebay about a year ago and was good quality. I cut it to the size we wanted and got my mum to hem it for me. then boil washed it in the washing machine.

If that's GENUINE Irish Linen it's the dogs b******s :o

The stuff we get these days is Central European, it's not a patch on the genuine thing, but I have my suspicions - I haven't seen real scrim since the early 90's

Cheers,

Ian
