Do you know that the average wage has gone up 50% since 1996?
I know that some of my prices definitely haven’t.

50%  :o

My prices are way too low!!!

The way that the majority of people think that are not self employed is that the average wage is £5.50 - £7.00 an hour.

So they cant understand when a window cleaner comes around and would charge £10 for a 15 min job. Then They think you are making £40 an hour. A lot don't understand running costs and expenses especially where I live.

That's one of the reasons why my prices are so low and I haven't put them up for ages!

I've found that where we work.  They just don't understand that we get no paid holidays, sick pay, pension not paid into by work etc.

But, I think I've read recently that the average first time house buyers are paying 40% of their income for the mortgage!

That's got to go into the melting-pot of how much to charge to clean their windows somewhere.
