We now have over 10,000 members.
How many out of 10,000 have been fined or taken to task by  H.S.E ?

most of my customers are commercial and its not the HSE that take you to task bit its the compaines themselves H&S officers, site managers etc

most (90%) want to know i am working safe... i.e. method statement, risk assesment, insurance, public liabilty.

Window cleaners who are sole traders usually only find out the HSE when something goes wrong.

Macleod

Sorry maybe i should have phrased the question a little different.

What i am trying to assert is how big a problem H.S.E  is to our industry.

I was hoping to do this without having a poll.

HSE is there to help us, not to police us.

But they might tell you to get your hair sorted ;D

In Harrow some decorators were done in the summer for using a ladder to paint a block of flats and I know of two guys who were done in Carpenders Park for replacing guttering .

I haven't heard of any window cleaners being done around here but I know that slowly the message is getting through to the customers.
I have been asked by 2 new customers how I cleaned the windows and when I said with a pole they said "Oh good" that was actually the opposite reaction to the one I had expected from them.
