Water pump prob on Ninja
« on: December 13, 2006, 04:52:59 pm »
Yesterday solution hose failed at the connection to machine. So it was just pumping out water to nowhere. Since then I've lost pump pressure. Just trickles out. Any ideas? Only 4 months old the machine.

Chris

P.S Yeah I know its under warranty but would like to sort it out myself.

Hi Gary

Its 135psi pump. No pressure gauge. Its a mechanical flow control by turning a numpty. When I say failed, the solution hose came away from male connection, ie the jubilee clips stopped working lol So the the water was just pumping out of machine at the solution hose connection.

Thanx Gary you could be right. Seems to be intermittent as well. Got it on my lounge floor and seems to be ok at the mo. I'll try what you said.

Thanx

another little trick  is  take the filter of the tank inlet and turn pump on  then put u thum on in let hole till it sucks for few secs then pull u thum off    this sends a surge and gets rid of air blocks

Bleed hose connected to pump and use vacuum to PULL water through.

Thanks chaps. Did think about my old Extracta Excel where you had to prime the pump by using the vac suction by dragging the water through the system.

Thanx
