M Power - Upholstery ?
« on: December 06, 2006, 09:04:13 pm »

I will be using M power for the first time next week.

Although the feedback seems to be mostly positive, I have seen a few neg remarks about using M Power on upholstery.

Is it any better than Micro Splitters ?

I dont feel like experimenting at this time of year   :-[

I recently used M Power for the first time on a two piece and can honestly say it came up a treat.  I really started to see the difference as it started to dry.

I know that there have been some negative comments regarding this product on this forum, but it works for me on most jobs and is cheap to use.

I can't get it to work on upholstery but like you say it's not the time of year to start experimenting.

Did a heavily patterned wool ax today and it came up so well I was even taken aback.

Hi all:

I use MP on most of my suites and find it second to none.
However I recently cleaned a really dirty draylon suite which was caked in hair gel, brylcream etc.. and I have to admit that I had to revert back to Fab Restorer with an acid rinse to achieve the desired result. But over all it's an excellent product.

i used it on a dralon suite but found the results very poor
had to use a citrus fabric prewash on it and it came up perfect

still cant get to grips with M-Power!

Trialed Solution No2 for 1yr. The outcome - Hit and miss all of the time, mainly miss.
PCA 5 powder by Bane clene. The outcome - Persistently excellent results, much much more repeat and recommendation coming through from jobs using this chemical.

Never tried M Power so would never dream of making any comment on it.
But Solution No2 was truly cr*p!!

I have used solution nr 2 on ALL of my suite cleans for the last 2 yrs.

Always get excellent results, clean 3 or 4 suites a week.

I dont advertise, all my work comes from recs.

Its a funny old world !

Chris

ps I thought pca 5 was an in tank CARPET detergent ? Not really for use on upholstery?   PH 9.2

I found no.2 ok but found no.9 better. In the early days of using no. 2 I could not get results because I was using it at 8 to 1 and not aggitating enough. When I went to 16 to 1 and aggitated more I got good results. All microsplittrs are hard to get used to and do take a little time to master.
I find them no good on trashed carpets and a extraction fluid or powder performs much better.
