You can clean windows with a TDS reading of 10. I have hearded 15 tds is syill fine, and even by one supplier that you can clean windows to the max of 35 TDS. I have only gone as high as 9 TDS and find this is fine at that level but the lower the reading the better the results.

Ive used ours upto 25 but can go upto 30.If iwas to change all three cartridges when both reels were at 9 or under i would be getting through 9 bags of resin each week to work ratio. We are going to install a water making facility this will continually produce 3000 ltrs of pure water at any time and has a transfer time of 8 mins into a 700 ltr tank, then the resin will polish off and will only need changing 2-21/2 years. Also pure water starts to loose its purity after 30 so weather its 1,5,9,18, it should still give good results on either reading. If you measure rain water on your tdi meter it willl probabbly come up as 7-12 how much rain water or rain spots do you see left on your windows?None and both readings could be diiferent
