i think on some insurances you have to be careful
you may think you've got a million quids worth of carpet covered but are you sure thats not just a million quids worth of public liabilty and not treatment risk which is normally the one that covers the cost of the items you are working on and not if someone trips over your hoses a breaks there neck
its worth checking to be sure
i've got up to £15000.00 pounds treatment risk on my policy

The HSBC policy specifically excludes claims that are caused by heated tools. So do your burn test outside (which any right thinking person would).

Heck i started this thread and just renewed our policy with Mc Gregor Lyold, apples for apples they were the best quote. ANd a massive plus point is you can call them up and they are helpfull
